I think you did well...my CS6100 is on the way (I think Jose is getting one too).
Don't blame the current ECM problems on CoolSat.
Any support that was lacking for the 4/5/6000 models would have only been a patch (that could go for 3 minutes or 3 days).
So coders working to keep you up lately are pulled away from the more permanent solution...maybe this is why CoolSat didn't fix the 4/5/6 as of late.
My point being...your CS5000 will still work into the future...the 4000 will be the first to go due to lack of memory.
Get a memory stick for the CS6100 (ebay cheap) you only need 1 gb (I got a 2.0 Memorex)

Re: coolsat 6100
Any FTA box right now is a White Elephant, Coolsat has been taking hits for the past few months for their support. I own a Coolsat 6100 as well and I have noticed that they are right on Par with other manufacturers. It's very easy to program, and with the USB, and Auto Scan.....there isn't much to screw up....haha
Anyways, don't believe the hype, the Coolsat 6100 is a great STB!
Happy Holidays!

Re: coolsat 6100
I have 3 6100's,,, they are not working,,, so what,,, if YOU want something to keep you busy until we get a fix (like me),,, find me a code to get into a downloaded trial version of a Sony Sound Forge 8!

Re: coolsat 6100
there should be a fix up shortly. CS home site is down currently which is usually means that NORW is uploading files!!!! Sit tight as all STB's are going thru with the same problems, it's not only CS alone!!!!
