6100 freeze issue this might help - ABA DSS

anytime you plug anything inyo the 6100 turn power off from switch on the back. this is what i did it seems to have fixed the problem. factory reset from the menu on remote/load the factory file/ reload bin 170/go through the normal set-up and you should be good to go

You are correct.
The hard power reboot from rear will fix the freeze & slow channel change problem.

I have a 6100 and 7100. Both Continue to freeze and give scrambled message. Have tried everything advised but nothing works. Kinda wish I had not got them. Sure hope someone figures out how to make these units work

Sonicview 4000 and Viewsat Pro never has a problem

I have same problem turning off and on brings it back for a while does any one know if you can dl without a remote my dog ate mine will a universal remote work on 6100?

This is supposed to work.

1: Loaded 114 > Fact set
2: Loaded 114 > Fact set
3: Loaded 164 > Fact set
4: Loaded my ch list and set up sats
5: Loaded 170 over top NO Fact set
6: Turned off record option
7: Turned off auto tp update
8: Deleted TP's on 119 = 122224, 12311,12399,12457 ( tp 12224 is dead and the others a have symbol rate of 21500 and it is for HD, we use sr 20000)
