I installed my Solaris ethernet upgrade card earlier today, the only difference I saw in the start up is that it says, "please wait a minute... checking security device" and then goes to the channel as opposed to "please wait a minute...checking security device, FAIL: NO DEVICE" and then to the channel. Both ethernet cards work B3V with no problems, but the new upgrade card doesn't work on DN.

For example, DN channels 106, 168, etc... it comes up with i-on/ n-on/ p-off/ Emul-OFF/ SUNS Disconnected, from my understanding these channels are supposed to be up on DN. The SUNS Connected only comes up when im on B3V, which tells me that the upgrade card as well as my internet is functioning properly.

I also tried re-loading the factory default boot file 1.30 and the U43.bin, then upgraded back to 1.51 with no luck.

Can anyone tell me if they had any success with this upgrade?

yes i did the same thing an no one would answer me but to answer your question i could see no change at all 79 bucks down the drain ihave a lot of bev but no dn if you get yours fixed please PM ME GOOD LUCK

you might want to do some reading, not to many channels on charlie.

The same information was posted here as well when the file was released.Some loyal nfusion testers were upset and voiced their concern about releasing a non offical file , seems what they were afraid might happen did come to pass.I can't fault either side of the testers , those wanting a fix now and those willing to keep waiting.I believe that the nfusion camp had already determined the faith of the nova and this just sped things up.Just my two cents take it for whats its worth but the information concering the upgraded cards and the unoffical file was disscussed on this site to a great and heated extent I must say.Just check out the old posts.
