There is no place to plug the external HD to the Phoenix, I have hooked it up to MythTV (editing IV for remote codes) I have also hooked up against Tivo but you can only do manual recordings (with a stock Tivo) if you have a "modded" tivo then there are remote codes to add the remotes codes for tivo. These are under the download section for Nfusion. There is also the IPPVR that is still in BETA. IMHO it doesnt work worth a dang, you can try it I personally have never had any luck with it, as for the ext HD your SOL I could be wrong if anyone else knows please let us know so we can share.

the IPPVR does work ,,, but like suggested above,, it can be painfull to set up and most times doesnt work lol,,
using a capture card like siker1 suggests is the best way to go ,,

FYI...You can find the remote control codes for Tivo on this site.http://www.abadss.com/forum/831-nfus...tivo-hack.html You have to have telnet access to your Tivo to load the file, after that you go into setup and choose Primestar as your STB. Work great. Worked fine on my Nova and works great on my phonex.

Re: Nfusion phoenix and pvr setup

One more thing. You can get a series 2 tivo and mod it with sapper to get telnet and some other goodies. They are dirt cheap on ebay. Sapper is easy to use and requires not Linux knowledge to mod your tivo. Google Sapper Tivo. I got my S2 for 65.00 and dropped a 500g hd in for over 6oo hours of rec time.
