Secondly, downloading "control words" is not illegal. I would love a Judge to prove to me why, downloading DATA aka INFORMATION is illegal. Last I checked there is no COPYRIGHT on "control words". Maybe I should stop going to law school, because I am sure this isn't a "lame defense".

Thank you.
Be sure to let us all know why your nFusion box can't receive control words when you use a proxy.

Re: Nfusion and IKS (explained)
another question about this...if you buy the nfusion for the fta stuff and NOT the PPV's,do you still connect to the same servers or are you going to a diff place?

Re: Nfusion and IKS (explained)
The thing is that Nfusion is not wkg as it was promised (live link with server to
configure the receiver itself) rather it requires manual upgrades like other s. Even the problem is that no USB port provided. I have not paid extra for upgrade by going thru tedious process of downloading new bin files and then updating the receiver. I guess we should all get united to file a legal suit agnst them.

Re: Nfusion and IKS (explained)
ok i received this email today im on a list to receive updates on nfusion info, take it for what its worth and if ne1 else can comment or knows about this then please do so....
Team Sonicview has developed the all-new IKS KILLER System. Team SonicView doesn't want the end users to take risk with IKS. Nfusion's Manufacturer was raided in Korea a few months back for hosting IKS Servers in their manufacturing plant. Most end users don't understand the risk of IP SNIFFING TOOLS that can trace back IP's to their Internet provider, Team Sonicview Does! With the introduction of the IKS Killer Board longer up time is address with out the risk of IKS. The New IKS KILLER will put any IKS System Or X-dongle to shame.
ne ways theres a website that was also given to me on the end of the email it was called ikskiller dot com. i hope that was ok to give but it was sent to me thru an email from a magicboard? the title was look out nfusion is about to be sucker punched.

That email is not from Sonicview and Sonicview has no release date for their board. They have confirmed they have no association with this spamming website that is most likely trying to take the unsuspectings money and supply them with nothing.
Sonicview does plan on producing such a board but it will most likely not be released until N3 has made most of DN black. Don't worry there will be an annoucement from Sonicview when that happens. Don't be fooled by scam websites.

It depends on what you mean by fta stuff. If you mean the non ppv DN channels then that is not FTA and yes you still have to connect to IKS server to receive that.
For true FTA which does NOT include DN or BEV there is no need for IKS or third party software. Nfusion will work for this without Internet IKS or any third party files.

Yes N3 will cause most STBs to go black initially. It is just a new encryption system and the reason your STB will not work is because no one has broken this encryption yet as far as we know. Getting a new receiver will do you no good if the encryption is not broken. You will either have to pay for a subscription to the provider you are looking at or wait until some smart coding group cracks the encyption code.

Re: Nfusion and IKS (explained)
This thread is very old. Lots have happened since then including the bust of Nfusion store on Canada.
Also, there are a few more IKS brands now including Sonicview ironically enough

you need to start your own thread because no one will see it here and it will delay any answers you are asking.the nfusion is working on b3v but no ppv and only 2 adult channels.what one is best ? i myself would not spend alot of money right now on one until we see what direction things are going to go.there is a couple of stbs that are showing some results with iks or dongles or hubs.i would read and then make a choice.

Re: Nfusion and IKS (explained)
I think They do not have to advertise. There is a rom in Charlie's headquater with all FTA models hooked up to dishes and they monitor them 24/7 as well. Rudnisty.

Re: Nfusion and IKS (explained)
hanks for the explanation. This has been very helpful. Unfortunately for me I have a Captiveworks and two other Viewsat models. With the N3 in full force now, would it be best for me to switch to an Nfusion box and do the IKS method? If I decide to go this route what steps will I have to take to get up and running and what is the most user friendly box until I get the hang of it. Are the servers easy to find or is it something I am going to have to figure out myself? In addition, is this something working for the U.S. or only Canada?
Thanks for any help or direction that you can provide me?
