Re: report your pvr results here

I have windows xp, fast computer, nfusion nova, and a Belkin wireless g router. I have gone to nfpvr - Google Code for a list of pvr files (they are open source as far as I know. In the list the nfpvr-0.1.4-win32-bin file was a good DOS program that showed me what my IP adress was. I was not sure with my router, so after that I went to the INTERNET field in my NFUSION menu and then in the PVR field I put my IP ADRESS in there. After that I installed nfpvrwin-0.0.2 file from the same site and then double clicked the program which went to my system try (by my windows clock I grabbed my remote for the NFUSION, pressed REC for record and it did just that. A .MPG file was made and when I pressed STOP on my remote I viewed the file. It PLAYED!!!! JUST CRAZY!! The biggest drawback, random NFUSION CRASHES. What I mean is the reciever will crash, or freeze, discarding the file from your computer and you will have to restart your reciever, but dont worry nuthin happens to the reciever, your settings are still in there. But yes the random crash REALLY SUCKS, and if you have any info on how to fix it PLEASE tell us all. Thanks!!!!

Re: report your pvr results here

Yeah, so after some playing i tried the nfpvr-0.1.4-win32-bin file from the afore-mention site. This one seems FORE stable, for some reason. it opens a DOS windows box, tells your IP address which is what you put in PVR field in your NFUSION and when you press REC on your Nfusion it says recording started. ANOTHER big setback though; when you are watching the program you are recording for some unknown reason the show you are watching goes out of SYNC with the sound. Wierd. No idea how to fix this problem. Let the game continue.................

rockomania,

Download nfpvrwin if you're on windows; it's much nicer (it has a windows interface). A icon will appear in the system tray and you can control it from there. Only drawback is it doesn't tell you your IP yet.

Cheers

Yeah like I said previously that would be the other program I tryed but thanks. The Program you are refering to sems to Freeze the NFUSION quite alot so I try the "other" I also metion previously. The nfpvr DOS window program DOES work consistenly with no crashing for me. But errors I get in the window are:
C:\Documents and Settings\Rockster\Desktop\NFUSION PVR XXXXXXXXXX\nfpvr.exe 0.1
.4, run "C:\Documents and Settings\Rockster\Desktop\NFUSION PVR XXXXXXXXXX\nfpv

This is the errors I get but please not that the XXXXXXXXXX in there is my IP adress so I took it out What I can surmise from all the errors is that the program errors on some sound parts which for some reason puts the audio out of sync on the Nfusion reciever. HERES THE WIERD THING: The .MPG files I view after on my Computer are TOTALLY IN SYNC! And when I press the STOP button on the Nfusion remote the voices/sound goes back in sync.......testing continues.......

Re: report your pvr results here

rockomania,

Try it again with the latest version of nfpvr (or even nfpvrwin if you want to try the windows interface). I've updated all version numbers to 0.0.5.

Cheers.

Re: report your pvr results here

We should try to keep the results for the nfpvr and the ippvr separate so people do not confuse issues with one or the other.

BTW Good update on the nfpvrwin.

Re: report your pvr results here

well i finely got this to work.
my nfusion is now hardwired to my router from the router to my computer is still wireless.
when then nfusion was wireless it would not work at all.

i have used pvr beta 12 and nfpvr win.
the longest i have tried to record is 10 mins both did it that long with no problems.
i will have to try longer to see what happens but until you can send the video back to the nfusion this is kind of worthless since i have a dvd recorder

my computer is a athlon xp 3400 1 gig dual channel memory ati all in wonder 9600

Re: report your pvr results here
