Please READ “Service Not Available, i-on/n-on/p-off/emul-off”
posted by Human Network
This is if you are getting service not available!
IàInternet
N->Network
P->Proxy
Emul->Emulator
1. I-on, I- always have to be ON to use IKS.. if your STB can access IKS server, I- automatically ON
2. N-on, you Nfusion has to be connect to your network while it on. otherwise the N->OFF. You need N->ON
3. P-ON/OFF it is a personal preference. By default P- is off, you can turn it to back on then input with a working proxy server IP and port number. Menu->Internet->Proxy…
4. Emul-OFF, if you want to use IKS, you have to turn emulator option off. When your stb use IKS you will see RED LIGHT blinking slowly on your stb front panel. To access emul, Menu->user settings->Emulator
When you see “service not available” on your TV screen.. first you have to look at that message close, it will tell you what is the problem… it is either cannot talk to your network, or IKS etc…
Here is a few step to solve this..
1. Make sure you stb still have ip from your router. Menu->Internet->Network Information->…
2. Make sure you can ping your STB’s IP from your computer.
3. Make sure you stb still can talk to IKS. Menu->Internet->S/w update->check update
4. If one of the step above failed..
a. turn off Router then turn it back on. wait for 30sec.
b. turn off STB then turn it back on.
5. check step 1 and 3 again. It they all passed, then it might be IKS server temporary down.. if one of them is failed then the issue is at your end.

Re: Please READ “Service Not Available, i-on/n-on/p-off/emul-off”
Thats some very good info but after playing I can tell you it is not entirely accurate. If you have a working box and are watching TV you can remove the internet cable and your redlight will go out and your picture will freeze after about 15 sec however the message you will receive will be I=on N=on p=off E=off
You obviously cannot connect to your router since there is no cable but your box is saying the network and internet are working. I believe this is proof that I=On means you have an IP address on your box. Once it gets one the first time the box will keep it until you reboot it. Also I believe N=On just means Network Connection is set to ON in your STB. You can prove this by setting it to off and your picture will freeze and the message will say I=On N=OFF.
The rest of the info seems to be quite accurate and helpful for troubleshooting. Thanks for the useful post.

That is also correct. You can receive that message when you signal is low but that you can easily check in the Installation channel menu.
