self rebooting
can anyone help with a captain 7100 rebooting randomly? when it does this all key information disappears as well as channel information. i have reset to factory defaults and put in factory bin and about an hour or so later happens again... any help would be greatly appreciated

Check your remote buttons and make sure one is not stuck. Take some air duster in the can and spray it. Hold it upside down s oliquid can run out. Also check power button on front of STB and make sure it is not patially pressed. Dust will get in around these plastic buttons and cause them to stick. Let us know...

load the bin with the cable and loader 125 it will fix it for ya.
i haven't had it happen yet.but read this will fix that.

you should start new thread next time please for new topics.
this way everyone reading and searching can find what they need easy.
there should be a sticky thread here or in the captain general help that shows you.
its very easy tho,simply press exit twice.and you should be able to figure out the rest.if not,find that sticky thread right around here.

at 1038 pm i got hit on bev all keys went to zero all providers desapeared to fix this isue i reloded bin v715 did a hard boot and waited no response. then did a factory reset after all done reloded bin v715 i still got all zeros did the defoult keys even though it was all zeros i saved it (yes) did a hard boot and up and running in 1 minute (have the patience to give time to roll some recivers vary ) hope it could help

7100 usb v716 went down for me on saturday 7;45 pm i could only test on bev tryed older bins and v714b dec25.2007 is up and runnig hope this could help anybody on d/n post if up aolso

you should grab yourself a cheap usb stick at wally word or some place usb loading is soooooooo much easier and super fast!
