can anyone help with a captain 7100 rebooting randomly? when it does this all key information disappears as well as channel information. i have reset to factory defaults and put in factory bin and about an hour or so later happens again... any help would be greatly appreciated

Check your remote buttons and make sure one is not stuck. Take some air duster in the can and spray it. Hold it upside down s oliquid can run out. Also check power button on front of STB and make sure it is not patially pressed. Dust will get in around these plastic buttons and cause them to stick. Let us know...

you should start new thread next time please for new topics.
this way everyone reading and searching can find what they need easy.
there should be a sticky thread here or in the captain general help that shows you.
its very easy tho, simply press exit twice.and you should be able to figure out the rest.if not, find that sticky thread right around here.
