Please help with captain 7100 - ABA DSS

Hi guys
My captain is not doing anything. Remote is not working. Front panel show boot when i press menu does not do anything. I have new bin i am using bev 91 plz help

you will need to load factory bin with the cable.this should fix it up for ya buddy.

its not reading menu on the front display when you turn it on now?

no its does not do anything only show in front boot and when i press manu does not do anything

While holding onto the power buttom on the STB, I turned the switch at the back to ON. Held onto the power button for about 5-10 seconds. STB screen displays "A500" and then "----".

Release the power button and then press it again -- the STB will turn on. I get the "boot" message and the STB is alive again.

Well still nothing i tryed still nothing i hold the power buttom and trun the power on from the back still nothing

bummer.thats what happened to the other guy i read about.
no worries though,she's good for a 6 year warranty.send it in for repair/replacement.

can you tell me what happen why its doing that? I only get this two week ago and can you tell me which reciver is good? One more thing i have mercury 2 fortec its been down fo two month is there bin? Please let me know.

i don't know what causes that.its not that common.im sure your next one wont have any problem.or least it shouldn't.
they have had fixes out quick. last couple times been first.
the 7100 is nice,id give another one a try buddy.

I too have a Captain 7100. It laste a couple of hours on the December 24th update and went dead. Now it's noting but 'boot' in the display window.

A word about warranty... if you check your warranty, whether its one or six years, it specifically sttes that use of ANY unauthorized software voids the warranty. The ONLY factory authorized software is the FACTORY FIRMWARE. Your updates are considered UNAUTHORIZED software and thereby voids your warranty. A quick call to your vendor will confirm.
