Receiver locked up
My Captain 7100 receiver is locked up. There is an error message that says motor is moving. I have tried a hard reboot. Nothing seems to work, just comes back to the same error message.

do u have a motor. there are settings for the motor option in the menu, browse and find it and turn it off.

I do have a motor, and I can not browse, everything is locked up.

can u load it. try a factory default and if that dont work, load the factory file and the current bin agian.

Can not do a factory default or reload the factory bin. When I try to laod the factory bin the message does not come up to promt a download.

load it with the loader/cable not the usb stick.that should do it.

So now I have to move my TV and receiver to where my compter is? ( really starting to wonder if this is worth it, I have been setting up this system for 2 weeks now and have not watched one show!)

bummer.
maybe you should just grab a dish 500 and point it at 119/110 while you work on your motorized dish.
or do you have an old 18" dtv dish laying around?
setting up the motor shouldn't be that bad tho.
