no local channels
Got my Captain 7100 USB up & running with the new bin. Reciever is hooked to Dish 500 with Dish-Pro Twin LNBF. Set to Satellites 119 & 110.
All channels work good but can't get local channels. Could dig some help.
Thanks

Re: no local channels
I was digging the heck out of this receiver until I tried finding my local channels by doing a blind scan on the wrong sat. When I went to save the scanned channels the receiver locked up on channel 480. The actual channel playing on my TV is the Dish Network Information channel (channel 101). The channel on the receiver display window reads 480. The channel menu at the bottom of the TV screen reads 480. No buttons on the receiver work except the on/off switch. No comands from the remote control work except the on/off switch. Can't even adjust the volume with the remote or from buttons on receiver. I have powered on & off, disconnected the dish cable, powered on/off from switch on back of reciever. I tried reloading factory bin & new 728_bin with USB stick, tried reloading factory bin & new 728_bin with USB to RS232 cable. It will not let me download files in. It will not give any menus. Boot, reboot, power on/power off, nothing gives. I'm about ready to throw the Captain overboard. Thanks

Re: no local channels
Tried that, no response. Tried input select button, no response. Tried TV/STB button, no response. Tried SAT button, no response. Tried all & every combination I could think of, all with no response.

Re: no local channels
Yes, followed instructions. Selected file to loader, turned on receiver & nothing. Did not get a download progress screen. The receiver refuses to accept anything. When receiver is turned on it goes into boot mode & displays 'boot' in window, then it displays 480. Thats it.

Re: no local channels
are the tps for your locals listed in sat list. rescan them seperately or add them if they are not there.locals are on spot beam. lyngsat will list spot beams and with tp goes with them.
