is it worth waiting for VS fix or just get IKS?
It's already so many weeks now, almost every other week we get new rumor of N3 fix for VS or IKS dongle, my question like others asking, it is worth waiting any longer for N3 fix by VS, or just move on & get one of the IKS FTAs working already in market?

but seriously any N3 progress made by VS, so far nothing like moving from N1 to N2 was, we started hearing news of Rom101 open etc, but nothing like that so far.

We get a new N3 cardless fix rumor every week. I guess if you're willing to wait for an indefinite time for a fix that may or may not come any time soon, go right ahead. If you want some TV, get a box with IKS

Really it is up to you. You can get an IKS box for relatively cheap and Im sure it will pay for itself in no time. If you want Tv now, I say hop in with IKS or wait it out as long as you can.

well I agree with you & Itaintrite, suppose I end up waiting 6 months for fix & end up getting IKS fta, then finding out fix is released a month later.
I think I will go with IKS for now & wait for N3 w/o sweating out

I think that is a good decision. If N3 Fix comes later on, you can use that receiver in another room.

I bought a dongle for my hd receiver a couple months ago and I have fun with at that time. But I would't buy a receiver and dongle now, it is a waist of youre money. The server is more down than up ,and when it is up you have a lot of freezing. This is just my opinion, I have been testing for the last 5 or 6 years.
If you have money to spare, go for it.That what testing is al about. We can't everything we want.I hope we a fix in the near future, otherwise go legit.
I have fios now and it is not cheap, at least I have TV.

Hands down if you want tv now you need a IKS receiver. Nfusion has just about zero freezing and has yet to be down in months. Sonicview is still in beta stages and the Kbox has limited channels.

On a serious note "it's anybody's guess"but the word is not anytime soon - alternatively as indicated on the forum....IKS is another avenue available...

well,I don't mind going SUB, but DN cannot get sub in CA... no not an option for me.
ftanewb1, I agree with you, but at least now we know who is more stable in IKS.
jfonseca, what we know is N3 is just tweaked of N2, most of the methods used are same like SKs, so from the point it gets valid CW (Control Words), is it same as N2... that is why valid SUB cam can give you back CW & FTA just processes is same way as N2... that's just my thinking! |
