No N3 fix for VIEWSAT... is dead (RIP) - ABA DSS

Don't held you hopes, N3 has not been cracked yet & it will take months after that to get working standalone N3 fix. Their is less than 1% chance of getting standalone N3 fix this year.

for most of you, I will say "move on" don't sit & wait for a fix in near future...

too bad, whatever the reason is, Viewsat does not seems support IKS while things are down. I understanding is longer they wait for n3 fix, more chances are they will hardly have any market left for them.

I don't think their is Sep 17th FIX, this is just rumor like all others that were posted asking to wait...wait... Buy whatever model works better for you.

if you can wait 6 months or more & want to take a chance, their are always free FTA channels, altought not much of them.

these fixes take time, especially after a big hit like the last one, you just need to be patient.

Thx for the post my friend...respectfully I beg to differ cuz YOU post no reliable-verifiable resource to say what you say..it can't be substentiated...VS is resourceful-viable to sustain this transition..

Yes as of this post there is NO RESOLUTION to the N3 issue for any reciever nevermnd VS..only avenue available is IKS capable recievers?
Ask yourself a ???? or two..what if VS comes up with the FIX First..all the lost market you talk about will REBOUND in a breeze..
that's the nature of the beast my friend...relevently speaking-
BTW-VS is the only one that supported PHASED OUT recievers despite until this N3 issue became an issue-that reciever be PLATINUM? A VS workhorse...? also VS has been very CONSISTANT in prompt support as until the down tine came upon everyone with N3?
Let's NOT hope against the HOPE...that's what you got with all lines of recievers other than IKS ones..
We can only HOPE the resolution comes soooooooon......but we can't loose HOPE..

Thanks for clearing everything up there, phew i can move on now, lol if it is going to happen it will, only time will tell, not somebody with a crystal ball. Untill than i run my comp to my tv and watch all my shows i'm interested in..

i agree with you sir!!!! and im ready to replace my ole work horse the plat. with something new a viewsat of course, im just waitting to see what to replace it with, and no matter what happens viewsat team has earned my respect so ill wait on em an seee what happens

VS9000_User - I bet you do not work too much with this stuff. If you did you will know that DTV was a different kettle of fish.

Dishnet and Bev are a totally separate entity. N2 change was one where it lasted over4 to 6 months before anyone was able to get it working. Viewsat was the first to come up with the fix.

N3 is no different and Viewsat will come up with a fix in the very near future. I am very confident.

VS has a card slot they have a serial/USB ort WHERE IS OUR IKS solution to compbat the n3 tilll a cardlesss solurion comes available my self Tuesday Im getting an nFusion or dot the 3100 IKS mod

I'm a proud owner of several Viewsat's and i'm not getting rid of them, the coders are working hard at solution. I suggest that if you cant wait you try a viable solution IKS, maybe not for everyone but does work and NFusion is so far the most reliable unit, I have the HD and it works great. I will be adding Max HD VS as soon as the fix is in. So to all have a free tv day

VS is far from over. regardless of all the rumors of a fix coming this week i think you'll see one this month. have faith in the team of hackers and coders VS has and all will be good soon.
definition of soon: sometime between now and then.
