Thanks to everybody who offered to help! You've really made my day. THANK YOU!

I have a friend living in the middle of nowhere, you know that big chunk of rock north of the USA. Her VS has been dead for a while so she hasn't had TV for a long time. Enough things on her plates right now so I though I would look around for a really cheap box I can send her (shipping will probably cost an arm and a leg already).

So, any kind soul out there with an old receiver still with support that's not being put to good use? Maybe donate or sell for REALLY REALLY REALLY cheap? Heh. I've been monitoring ebay but those **** shipping charges kill any chance of getting one for cheap

And nothing on my local CL.

If you are any good at electrical i have a cnx mini in the closet that got hit by lightning and the only thing i can c is it needs a new resistor or whateve its called. i will part with it practiclly for nothin if you want it

I have a VS Platinum you can have for free, just collecting dust. It still rocks I assume, just load the latest file. It works fine, after I got the SV360 Elite, well there was no going back, lol. It yours for a song,

Let us know when she gets it up and running.
Don't do a Factory Default. Haven't done one in years and she works like a charm.
All she has to do is load the latest bin if there is a working one. If her dish is already pointed at DN, then just load the bin and watch TV. All the favorites are already set up. Fav for XXX(lol), PPV, Sports, Locals/Specialty channels.
