Global User Satellite database holds up to 300 satellites

First Strike Meters are made for the professional but are easy for the Novice to understand and use. No more searching through complicated menus to find the setting you need to change. All parameters show on one screen making it easy for the user to modify any setting. The FS1 quickly and easily finds even weak signals. Unlike the competitors meters, you can do a sweep of the dish to find the signal.

Uses the same type display screen as cell phones so it can be read in direct sunlight. Display screen has a switchable back light so your meter can be used in low light conditions.

FS1 has a Global Data Bank that holds all the satellites in a separate data bank. The meter also has a User Defined Data Bank that stores 100 satellites. The user can define new entries from the keypad.

Meter never needs to be returned for re-calibration due to the unique calibration system built in to the meter. Each time the meter boots up it automatically calibrates for optimum performance so you can align each install with confidence.

Rechargeable Li-on battery lasts approximately 3.5 hours on a full charge. If the battery runs low during use, you can loop the satellite receiver through the meter and power the meter from the satellite receiver power supply.

Re: First Strike FS1 Satellite Meter Sale

I never understood why these things exist, when every STB has meters in the setup.

Re: First Strike FS1 Satellite Meter Sale

$240 USD ?? .,., holy .,., my meter was $10 CND and works great .,., installers know that a fancy expensive meter like the 'first stike' is not needed to get good signals.

they exsist for professional installers and dish aimers like me.....

when i get a call to install and aim a dish, that is all i do.....i dont do any wiring, or anything inside the home.....all i do is mount the dish and aim it.....so i need a meter to power the LNB while aiming.....

this way everything im doing is 100% legal.....i can mount a dish on a wall and aim it at any satellite i want.....what that person does with the dish after i leave is up to them.....

Re: First Strike FS1 Satellite Meter Sale

Looks like a great unit. If I didn't have a birdog USB already, i'd get one for sure.

Having a meter like this takes away all of the stress of aiming/peaking a dish. It's a process that can be done by one person in minutes...

Re: First Strike FS1 Satellite Meter Sale

The value of these meters is in the time they save for the installer, and great if you have a 1000.2 type set up. External Battery powers the LNB, BINGO! you are done.

Re: First Strike FS1 Satellite Meter Sale

Is there a way to ensure you have all of the data loaded for the SAT's you are interested in? USB update via Internet?

Re: First Strike FS1 Satellite Meter Sale

Hey creativegenius thats a good question. There will be the option of doing just that with a sat editor for your pc. Just hook the meter up using the USB cord and upload/download your custom information. But, the software has not been released yet. I will post here when the software becomes available.

The meter comes with 227 sats in the global database. You can edit each one and save them in the user database. And you can factory re-set at anytime.
