Great FTA Store In Toronto
The store is located at 24 Ronson Drive, right at Kipling and the 401. Great guys in the shop and great prices. For all those hobbyist in the GTA and surrounding areas, take the time to visit Transat Electronics. I took a chance and ordered from these guys off the web site.
Placed my order Friday and had all the stuff delivered Monday via post office!!!
I'm 240 miles away from the actual store.
No surprises...ahem...NO bad surprises
I will definetly do business with them again  |

i have emailed them several times with questions about thier products and never had one reply from them......poor customer service......
i will stick with the store i normally deal with in the toronto area.....prices are equal, and they are friendly to deal with.....not sure im allowed to post it here though.....

the store is very busy and there are only a few guys working...could have been just an oversight...try again, or visit the store.

i realize people are busy.....but i have emailed over 20 other stores and i have always recieved a reply the same day.....i emailed these guys 4-5 times.....not one reply.....not worth the hassle to me....

simple questions that would only take 2 mins to answer.....pricing mostly about recievers in bulk.....like how much for 10 SV8000's just as an example.....
i dont like to go around bad mouthing people.....but it just seemed like they were not too interested in selling products.....

It could have been that they are far two busy to answer questions like that, and would rather you come to the store, where the possibility of a sale is more likely...bad idea, but its a great business tactic.

i dont know of any business that would be "too busy" for the possible sale of 10 HD recievers.....the possibility of a sale is just as likely online as it is in person these days.....
bad idea is correct......
like i said.....i have asked the same questions at many other sites and always had a reply.....they have been the only "no response" i have ever encountered......
oh well.....thier loss......not mine.....

If you ever need to get in contact with us, there are a number of different ways in case any of them don't work:
1) You can use our Contact Form on our website to send us emails
2) You can visit our stores (3 locations) in person
3) Or you can give us a call at 1-866-730-4535 (Toll-Free US/Canada) or locally at 416-235-2600.
If we're not available to answer our phone you can leave a message. We check our messages at least every hour, and our email obsessively.
So if you've already sent us 5 emails, I think maybe they got eaten up somewhere or the email was not correctly typed because I didn't get any price requests for 10 x Sonicivew HD's anytime in the past few weeks.
Anyhow, just give us a call or PM your details and we'll get back to you ASAP to respond to your request(s).

Wow I just looked at this site and was thinking of ordering one of their motorized kits. Cost was $166 US but then once you added shipping it went to $323 US. This is only going to western NY.
No thanks I think I will skip this place.

Hi,
There is a note on our website to contact us for shipping of large dishes to the US:
"Attention USA Customers: Online shipping costs are incorrect. Please contact to order"
The reason for this is that the online shipping estimator is not accurate. The shipping costs vary by what is in the order, but is much much lower than the online estimate.

I've had a very positive experience purchasing equipment from Transat. Very good price, best shipping rates and 3 days after, the equipment was at my door. To bad they didn't have the A-1 8PSK board for my SV 8000 HD otherwise I would have purchased it from them. Instead I had to purchase it from a store in Calgary and took almost 2 weeks to receive the equipement and twice the shipping price. I would recommend this store to anyone.
