I get E029 message on my box using a keyspan usb to rs232 adapter. Please help

Dude, are you really a member of the Salvatruchas?

I do know some in real life.

Anyhow, you probaby need to install a driver for the USB adapter.

E029: com port error.

reported fix i found:

"I disabled com1 in device manager leaving the null modem cable connected, re-enabled com1 and everything worked fine. It also happened to a friend of mine and I did the same thing and it also fixed his problem. I hope this helps someone else that may have the same problem."
