need help with cw700s
i have just replaced my cs5000 with cw700s and after some difficulties i was able to bring some channels to watch - learning my way from the forums. My problem is that i was not able to get lots of channels like ESPN, Disney, CNN,...etc which i used to get with cs5000. The only 2 satellites with good quality and strength are echostar 7 & echostar 6,8. What is it i am missing? please, help

Re: need help with cw700s
Hello all!
I am currently a CS6000 owner ( and not a happy one at that) I am looking into buying new box and would like to know how the cw700 is, and if $150 (canadian) is a good price.
Any input would be helpful
Thanks

Re: need help with cw700s
Hi Lesley, and welcome to the group
I have just purchased a cw700s for $140.00 Canadian. I love it now that i got my dish aligned properly. (Many thanks to all those that offered advice and gave help to get this done).
Most satellite receivers range from $120.00 to $180.00, and I have noticed that the cw700 is very user friendly...i personally think that $150.00 would be a decent price for it...
Good luck and enjoy.

Re: need help with cw700s
I replaced my CS 4000 pro with a Neosat iPro 2000 and also I purchased 4 Captiveworks 700s boxes (decided that I would have 2 different boxes just in case).
I think you get alot of bang for your buck with the CW 700 boxes and ABSOLUTELY THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IS THE SUPPORT - WHEN A NEW FILE IS NEEDED THE CW CODERS ARE USUALLY ONE OF THE FIRST FEW TEAMS TO
POST THEIR FIXES.
AS FOR THE 4 CW BOXES 1 WAS FOR ME AND 3 WERE GIFTS FOR FRIENDS. I PAID $109.00 us$ ea freee shipping included. It does pay to shop around - not sure what the exchange rate is between teh CN$ and the US$ but recommend you check out all the reputable canadian dealers and see what the going price is also you will find many dealers listed on ebay

What sats are you pointing at and do you have any bad weather in the area?
Also, what bin are you running?
