Re: no usb ready message
there is another way to get that file on ur box as well ,,,if u got the serial cable that came with the box,,u can get the loader program for it,,hook up ur serial cable to the box and computer,,,and stick it in that way,, im unfamiliar with the usb process on ur box,,,but i do know it aint hard doing it that old way,,and thats with the serial cable,,,so if u dont get it done,,,try doing it that way,,,but just wait,,there are plenty of smart members here,,,one of them will help u thru it ,,just keep an eye on this post,,,refresh the page everynow and then,,wish i knew more about the cws ,, good luck !
here is a thing u could try while ur waiting for some support,, download this tool and reformat one of ur usb sticks ,,then put the file on it and try again,,,by then there should be some more answers for u to try :
http://www.abadss.com/forum/460-cool...rmat-tool.html
if that tool doesnt work,,try doing what this thread says :

Re: no usb ready message
Make sure your usb stick is formatted to fat 32 & the smaller gig usb sticks work better

use this tool,,it will tell u the com port,,,just run it,,get the com number,,plug that into the loader,, or follow painters advice ,,either way will work ,,just be patient and dont rush things lol
http://www.abadss.com/forum/460-cool...indows-xp.html
it sounds like u know how to do it ,,u just cant get it done,,take a moment,,have a smoke lol ,,and try again ,,once u do it ,,the next time will be a breeze

Re: no usb ready message
if u want to try the serial cable again,,,u can download that tool i posted above,,or do this,,, plug the serial cable into ur computer,,, then left click : start / settings / control panel,, look for the System icon ,,double left click it ,,,when open,, look for the hardware tab,,click it ,,and look for device manager,,, double click it ,,,a new box will come up ,,, look for this : + ports (com&lpt) ,,click on the little plus sign
look for communications ports (com1) it may not be one ,,it may be another number,,,remember that number,,,open up ur loader,,and type in that number u found ,,,then browse and attach file,,,follow the upload instructions,,let ur box receive the file and install,,,takes several minutes,,,do not turn off ur box,,unhook any cables,,till it is completely done ,,,that should do it

Re: no usb ready message
are u using an usb to serial adapter ? perhaps the driver didnt install,,
also delete ur copy of the file ,,redownload the file and unzip it,,,then put the fresh copy on ur usb stick ,,,and try reloading ,,this is the file u should be trying to load :
http://www.abadss.com/forum/865-cw-7...9-03-31-a.html
grab a fresh copy
is this a brand new box ? or is it just brand new too u ? if the bin file isnt taking ,,maybe u need to load the factory flash first,,, i dont know,,ive run out of ideas,,, u should be able to just load that box the way painterguy said,,, or u should be able to use the loader and serial cable,,, maybe ur box doesnt have the factory file in it ,,,
try downloading and installing this file first ,,,then try loading the above file next ,, :
http://www.abadss.com/forum/865-cw-7...load-file.html

Re: no usb ready message
Write down your settings & do a factory default all, put your settings back in, rescan channels, & enable patch...
