Re: Pansat Pvr Fuction???
OK folks i think i understand, as far as the technical bulletin, if my pansat was sold after Jan 2008 i would have to relocate the q3 tr base. i hope i am reading that right.
well i got mine in October of 2007 so i hope I'm good, but anyway i hooked up a sata drive but no go, does any one know what type of drive is working with this unit? Thanks!

you read that backwards.
all panny 9200's sold before jan 08 will need this update.as panny is now aware of the problem, the new ones since jan 08 will be made correctly, see?
so your going to have to send her in to panny and have her worked over.

the eSATA port is located on the rear of your receiver.its an advanced port over usb 2.0 being able to transfer data faster and takes less power from the receivers possessor to run it.

you have an October 07 production model.
you will need to send it in for repair.
there has been a recall to fix all past 9200's eSATA ports
read details you will need here:

Re: Pansat Pvr Fuction???
oh.its for an external hard drive buddy.
just like most other pvr stbs that you connect it through a usb 2.0 port.
well there is a new way,its faster and requires less possessor power from the receiver.
this is eSATA that the pansat 9200 uses.
so what you will be looking for is an external hard drive with an eSATA port.(not just usb 2.0)
ok buddy?
