New STB...
Hi, I just bought a Coolsat 7100. Now what do I do? (new with some common sense)

 Coolsat people al dragging their feet 7000, 7100 down for at least 3 weeks 8000 , 8100 down for at least 2 weeks all other coolsat completely out of luck. We all maybe this time who know s it took 2 months once so far

Griego, if you can return the coolsat (even with a restocking fee) suggest you do it, now; read some more, here, and go with sonicview, nfusion or even the kbox is doing quite well; if you can't return it, no choice but to wait for coolsat

I really just want FTA and I'm new at the whole satellite world. I paid $65 for the coolsat. I don't have any problem waiting for more in the future. I'm thinking this might be a cheap and simple way for me to get in to Sat. Thanks by the way

jc7257 suggestion is a great read; 1) $60-$80 for a 30" dish (minimum size); 2) a linear LNB $20-$40; 3) run of coax and you're ready to test; have fun and stop back with more questions; this is the best FTA site on the net;
