7100 Start Up - ABA DSS

Hi all i am the newest member to this wonderful site and a total newbie to the world of fta. I just purchased a 7100 (hope i made a good choice) and hope to get it up and running asap. After reading through a ton of posts on this forum i honestly have to say i am quite overwhelmed. I am not really sure what information applies to my 7100 and what does not. Could someone point me in the right direction as to what i need to get my machine up and running and what pitfalls i should try to avoid.

hey there bud there is really not too much to tell ya that you cannot read here is the section and at the top are stickys just read how to flash..via usb or rs232 (serial cable) then read about other things you can do with it .. first off if you read general settings for setup like what dish and lnbs you have then you just have to enter in the proper settings .. all are the same as in the settings .. (some what)

now there is no new bin out for yours yet but should be soon .. coolsat is a little slower for release of bins but they are very nice recievers ..

if you have any questions post here and you will get help .. that way when the bin is released you can flash and watch ..

first things first you need to decide on whether you want true fta or b3v or dn. it all depends on your dish size, the lnb and your preference

Ok got my machine hooked up today, learned how to update bin file and coolstat file. I autoscanned and found my old BEV sat but when i try to get the channels i get nothing. Is this due to the fact we are waiting for a new bin or did i miss something?
