all coolsat 6100&7000&7100
all ccoolsat 6100&7000&7100 go back factory reset and auto scan all channel go back I test my coolsat 6100&7000&7100 very good allso not freezing now

hey when you load factory bin 114 (I think thats the newest one) which bin do I load or do I just use the factory bin?

yes, I'm freezing every three minutes. I have a CS 7000 aimed at 110. Please explain better about factory reset... I don't know how to do that. And if I do do I have to reload my key file. Do I have to reselect my settings for 110. Thanks. Need it in a hurry too... wife wants to kill me.

Use the newest version of factory software always. (ver116)
The bin only needs loaded again after a factory flash.
But what is being talked about here is only a reset.
BTW...it still freezes after the reset...but seems better than before...may be worth the effort.
Got to love that AutoSetup feature on CS6100.

Menu...System Recovery...Reset to factory settings...select language (English)...select time zone...make dish settings...scan birds...load EPG on ch 200 or 239...select local channels renumbering for locals. (select state & city)
You can also read my CoolSat Setup Instructions (below) to get a general idea.

I always use the cable to load factory files & bins...but it can be done both ways.

I guess the next question is .. if I use the Thumb Drive do I back switch the STB off, insert the drive w/ the file, cold boot and load applicable file?

Leave unit on...insert drive & window should open on TV screen...follow prompts...hit red button to upload.
