Re: dish net work
you need to set up your antenna settings in the receiver and also load in a new bin file. go to the help section on your receiver model and read up a bit. your dish is fine but if you installed a splitter, you cant. yes there is a switch in the dish that combines both LNBs already into 1 coax wire.

Re: dish net work
Assuming your dish 500 has a DP Twin LNB and aimed for 110 and 119, these should be the box Antenna settings:
119 W
LNB Power = ON
LNB Type = oscdp
LNB Freq = 11250
22KHZ = Off
TP Freq = 12239
Diseqc = port 1
Motor = OFF
Legacy SW = None
110 W
LNB Power = ON
LNB Type = oscdp
LNB Freq = 11250
22KHZ = Off
TP Freq = 12224
Diseqc = port 2
Motor = OFF
Legacy SW = None

Re: dish net work
yeah,you probably have a dish pro twin lnb.
the current cable from the dish will remain plugged into your sub receiver.
you just need to run another cable from the other port of the dp twin lnb into your new coolie.this way you can run both receivers at the same time.
if you want to run just one receiver at a time,you can run the cable into your coolie and run a short cable out from the coolie and into your sub receiver.
then all you have to do is turn the power off on the coolie and turn on the sub and rocking.
hook both units to the tv for audio/video and select appropriate tv modes.
all in what you need to do there.
or if your ditching the sub all together(not advised) then disregard all this lol,toss out the sub stb replace with coolie setup for dp twin and scan and be done.
but you didn't really didn't what your plans are there.so that's got ya covered all the way around a bit tehetehe.
(moved to coolie 7100 section.but left ya a redirect so you should find it ok.take note of this tho.this is where all kinds of good info for your stb is.)
