I had the same issue and only way I could fix mine was to connect it to the computer via serial port and get the coolsat 7000 loader and load the factory bin.

The E code often means or is a symptom of a bad file transfer. Reloading the file should work, if not follow BigE's advice outlined above. That will get you sorted out in no time.

i did try to turn off the switch on the back and turn it on again, it is still showing ERR-01 (01 FLASHING) dont know what that means.

Relaod the latest .bin file via the serial port using the loader for that unit and the RS232 cable that came with it.

hey genius, both those links to the 7100 loader and editor have a backdoor trojan in them ...you should remove the link and the files.
