Re: What is happening with norw group?
coolsat doesn't have the best support. It's been that way for a while now.
Might be time to upgrade to another box with better support. Viewsat, Sonicview, NFusion, Neosat...

Re: What is happening with norw group?
Coolys are GREAT FTA units, get a motor and a 36" dish, you'll be saying, you're right - these are nice units.

Re: What is happening with norw group?
All are almost the exact same unless it's an iks unit. SV elite or premier is one of the better ones lately, but it might not last long before it and all other receivers are knocked out as well.

Re: What is happening with norw group?
I just feel like anything I buy now may very well be useless before UPS gets it here. Whats worse than a worthless box? Two worthless boxes. Just my humble opinion.

Re: What is happening with norw group?
Hey Creativegenius, I've seen the motors for sale, I've got an old dish 500 with a dual lnb, will the motors work with that unit? I wouldn't mind seeing some other fta channels. Does the motor/coolsat7100 know what to turn the motor to for other fta channels? Never had a motor before, always used the bin files.

I just picked up 4 CNX Nanos today to ride out the last days of N2 for $95. ea.
I'm sure CS will be back someday...but not TODAY.
So you have to make the decision what to do...
But if your still up...(and most are except for CS & VS) * you should wait until all of N2 is gone & see who is the new leader.
The way I see it, is IKS will be up for sure during these troubled times...and a cardless solution will surely follow...the question is how long later.
Could be weeks or several months...time will tell.
I wouldn't pay too much for a FTA unit right now (like SV360) because they are working on 2 new units, which tells me that they don't think the older units (N2) will work after the change.
I would save my $ for SV later, after the PVR & HD units are out & the notorious "Magic Board" is released.
* VS is VisionSat.

It will work with a motor, but you need to remove the yoke & run a single LNB or just get a Dish300.
