G10r will end this weekend ! (swapping to new bird)
c/p from buddy Gary over on RTN network "unreliable sources" :

This weekend g10r will go away forever. The new replacement will be flown into it's space slot and should we hope work. During the change Equity and RTN will drop all feeds for about an hour.If all goes according to plan the new bird will come back online with all the same settings. Please email me at us@rtnville.com with signal reports to let me know if the new sat works better or worse then the old one. Thanks Gary

Re: G10r will end this weekend ! (swapping to new bird)
this is a c/p also.
and you can see at lyngsat.com its beens there temporarily also:
Galaxy 10R is being replace temporarily by Galaxy 17. Galaxy 17 has been at 123 degrees West for about two weeks. It was used previously at 74 degrees West, so it doesn't need much testing at the new location. Galaxy 18 should take over for Galaxy 17 in about two months assuming the launch goes ok tonight.

Ok Arb,
I'm not going to get a chance to make another serious attempt to lock onto the 123 location 'til tomorrow.
Are tips that you've sent out on getting 123 up & running still valid??
Thanks.

Re: G10r will end this weekend ! (swapping to new bird)
Ever since the new bird, I have lost RTN. I can only scan and get 4 channels now. I am on a motor and before the new bird everything was great. All other sats work perfectly, just former 10R is troublesom.
I MiSS my RTN!!!

It is not a new installation. It has been working for a while now... all other sats work fine on the arc. 36" and I am in TX.
