Re: 97 West FTA
123w:
Elevation: 30.9°
Azimuth (true): 235.7°
Azimuth (magn.): 241.9°
LNB skew: 42.3°
97w
Elevation: 46.0°
Azimuth (true): 203.9°
Azimuth (magn.): 210.1°
LNB skew: 19.3°
so.if your hitting 123w,you know a couple things now.
1.your LNB is not skewed correctly for 97w.-very important.first thing to do.
2.your pointed to low.raise your elevation.
3.your a bit to far west.once steps 1 and 2 are adjusted correctly, slightly pan east, while your receiver is on active TP from lyngsat.com

Re: 97 West FTA
I just rotated lnb to left and then moved dish to right blind scanned and was on 123 west. Can someone tell me how to accurately move lnb skew correctly to 19.3

Re: 97 West FTA
I just realized this but my current elevation for 123 west is about 45 degrees!!!!!!! Does this mean that i have to put the elevation for 97 west 10 degrees higher then satellite pointer elevation?
Thank You In Advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 97 West FTA
what dish are you using?
you don't see skew adjustment markers on your lnb holder/lnb?
can you eyeball about 20 degrees at least?to get you in the ball park.
tp 11874 shows active on lyngsat.
so unless or until someone mentions a stronger tp,it seems like a good one to start with.

Re: 97 West FTA
I am using this dish as show in picture . It is the same except it says ariza technology. My lnb has markers but i dont know how to use it. Why am i getting 123 with 10 elevation higher than satcalculator and does that mean that i have to put 97 west at 10 elevation higher?????
Thank you in advance

Re: 97 West FTA
You are too far West, try to move back to East and stay at the active TP. 97W is very hard to find and you won't get the high quality level but if can get 50 to 65 that good.
keep trying and goodluck
