Help needed 39"dish

I have a 39" digiwave dish motor and ku universal lnbf DGL88oT
I hired a satellite tech to install. After trying to pick up am-3 sat he told me that 39"dish was no good and old and to put up 18"
I have read a lot on your cite and others before I bought 39 dish witch is not old but brand new. You know more then sat tech I hired
Could you please tell me satellite I can pick up with this set up

Depends on your location, have you checked the foot print for that sat on lyngsat?
With a 39" dish, motor, and a universal lnb, you should be able to pick up any sat that you are in the foot print for.
Next time you hire someone, make sure they have experience with fta equipment, sounds like this guy didn't.

is amc 3 your true south sat if not you need to now which one is and set up on it first. find your latatude and set your motor angle to that elevation.

yes you can easily get AMC 3 with a 39 inch dish (ku-band)
