If I need a 36 inch dish, I'll try to find one. But if I really only need 30-33 inch, I found a reasonable 30" I can have shipped from GA. There's evidently NOTHING anywhere near me. There's nothing on craigslist. I've checked, repeatedly, for months, now.
If anybody can recommend an actual brand and model of linear or universal LNB, that would be great.

I get 123 with a 30" dish at Lake Cumberland, but I would recommend a little bit bigger dish. I also have a very low noise lnb on it but signal is a little low at times, might be sunspots causing recent problem because it gets better at other times.

83W has RTN (Retro Television Network) on it. Many good old shows on it. But it is one of the harder to find FTA signals. You will probably want to save it for after you are up and running.
There are also some good wildfeeds on that bird.

if you have a standard linear lnb:
lnb freq 10750
22khz off
lnb power on
If you are trying to reuse your circular polarized dish it wont work.

Re: Who's got G-18, 123W on what size dish? Any in KY?
Hi guys, this is moonbear, the OP of this thread, posting under an alias forced on me by some sort of site malfunction. I've been unable to log on for awhile, finally re-registered in order to be able to log on and ask admin for help.
Thanks to all for your input, in a couple of weeks we should finally be ordering a new dish and LNB. Once we get set up, I'll let you know how it works out.
Right now we only have a digital converter box and roof antenna, and get regular network, one time zone only, and only if the weather is clear. Even when it's clear, we have a hard time tuning in CBS at all, and often can't get FOX or WMYO. So it's a real drag. The only good thing I can say is the reception is better than it was with analog. When we get a channel at all, it's clear. Unless it's CBS, then we get a lot of pixelation, just like rain fade with a dish.
So true FTA, when we get it set up, will be a huge improvement. I especially look forward to being able to catch multiple time zones.
