Looking for FTA true feeds.
Hi everyone, I have a CW700 and with N3 in place I am only getting one or 2 true FTA channels. Due to my location, and trees in line of sight, I cant go below 25.0 degree elevation. Can anyone suggest where to line my dish up to get at least a few more channels? I need elevation angle and direction. Thanks in advance.

Re: Looking for FTA true feeds.
If in N.A., you will need a 30"-36" dish with linear LNB and point towards 123 west...

Trust me dont worry about the trees. They have to be a foot or two in front of the dish. You only need a 6' Dish and a Universal LNB,and as another poster said before, check with dishpointer.com for the other details you will need. It is also good to have a Sat Finder. They usually go realitevly cheap.

Re: Looking for FTA true feeds.
a 6' dish would be dandy if i lived in a house with a great big yard...unfortunately i live in an apartment with a very tiny balcony.

Re: Looking for FTA true feeds.
The 6' dish would help minimize the proximity of the trees. However, you could check Lyngsat to see how your area rate in terms of the EIRP dB coverage. You would also get the size dish required for your area.

Re: Looking for FTA true feeds.
your 30" -36" doesn't need to be any higher mounted than your re-purposed subscriber dish to get lots of free tv. You will shortly find out that your box can receive a bunch of different satellites and a pointing motor would be really cool...
Then you need to worry about your horizon. Half the fun is just finding a bird really far East or West of you.
nbc has its news feeds on 72w and 103w
cbs and fox are on 99w (cough sports feeds) for example
