Re: 123 galaxy 18
you need to skew the lnb to the proper degree.....have you done this?
linears are harder to aim then circulars.....if you have alot of trouble try putting a circular lnb on the dish and then aim at 119 cause its easy to find..... replace the lnb with your linear one and then you need to just go down a couple degrees and to the right a couple degrees (when looking from behind the dish) |

Re: 123 galaxy 18
Try TP 12136, I think that is the strongest one that I pick up. As for 22 khz, it should be off if you have a cable directly from LNB to receiver, or if you have a 22khz switch hooked up and the 123W bird on the off side of the switch.
Bill of Oz knows what he is talking about, although try 119 with the linear LNB, I think there were about 100 channels or so that I picked up with mine by accident when I was on 119 and didn't know what satellite it was. My linear LNB picked them up and then I used the channel setup on my STB to tell me what satellite it was. They may have dropped the linear broadcasting since Sept when I reaimed my dish, but it is worth a shot. If it does not work, changing the LNB is pretty easy to do.

Re: 123 galaxy 18
Your LNB should be good to go. It doesn't matter that it says G10R for the sat in your STB, if it bothers you you can always rename sat.
I think it's obvious in previous post, but once you find 119, you must move your dish a millimeter or so to get 123W. I think it was left and up. The skew I've found can be within a few degrees but if it is not exact you are asking for issues and less than all the channels |

Re: 123 galaxy 18
I finally got back up on the roof and tried to pick up 123 with no luck.
Iam able to get 121 echo 9, Q90 and S97. According to sat finder the elevation for 121 and 123 are almost identical in my area, 121 elev. 45.63 and 123 elev. 45.64. azmuth is only 3+ degrees more to the south for 123. I get about 69 on signal strength and nothing on quality. this is my settings; sat. 13 KU Galaxy 10R (123) transponder 11800 lnb freq. 1075 lnb type normal 22khz off disq none I have moved the elev and azmuth very slow and every combination of both in about a 10 degree range. |

Re: 123 galaxy 18
I did scan the channel and I picked up a chinese station on 9050
using a CW 800. A couple of other channels that were in the radio column were BUSINESS TV HD, and HDBT 2. It also showed that the signal was coming from 121. I did start out with 119 and a circular LNB and then installed the linear LNB moved it about 3 degrees to the south and picked up 121. |

Re: 123 galaxy 18
Can I put a circular lnb in place of the linear and try to pick up 123,. just
wondering if it was easier to pick up the sat, lyngsat shows both lnbs on the channel list. Then switch to the linear, will that work? |
