US Channels in Iraq?

I have a buddy fighting the war in Iraq, and was wondering if I sent him a receiver could he pick up any channels from here. Anyone know?

While the US State Department broadcasts propaganda in multiple languages all over the world, US commercial companies have no reason to in English. The soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan receive qualified broadcasts through the Armed Forces Network encrypted in PowerVue. The Pentagon Channel is available FTA there, but we pay for it here. There are many English language FTA channels available from other countries to post their points of view, but I'm not sure the military will allow viewing all of them. Al Jazeera (English from Dubai) is one of them.

The bins we have access to address Nag2. Europe and the Middle East use other formats.

I try get a singal over there 2 years ago and it could not get the singal dishcharlies is right it's a different format...
