exact dates are usually after one week of the notice expiry.

Most likely by end of June all will be N3 only.

Local channels notice is June 20th

So likely June 27 will be the last day when all channels will switch to N3.

Thanks for the infro. To help us newbies just hope fix comes soon it is the only way i get tv thanks . because i was going to pay another site cause they said they have the fix .

OK, there is not yet any fix with N3... but, and excuse please my ignorance, the receptors with IKS ability are working on with N3 anyway?

Good post to let people know what N3 is. However, there is no guarranty that N3 will be hacked. Not exactly sure what DTV did to encrypt their system but it went through many different things like what is happening now with Dish.

Yet, DTV still remain encrypted and no fix has been around for years now so I don't really agree that our recievers will will most likely work. Yes, its possible but we will have to see if the new N3 can be hacked. Given that DTV has not, I think we may be in for a rough road ahead. Well, lets hope not...Will try to stay positive.

Wow, I had no idea how difficult DirecTV's encryption was, according to that clip, its sounds like whenever the complete transition from N2 to N3 occurs, the fixed file will be released to the states, if what was said was true about the US programmers who cracked the code in Paris.
