sick of all these ECM'S lately? want to learn about channels that never get hit?

How can you tell if an LNB is linear or circular or something else? Is there a guide on this site that tells step-by-step how to set this up? I saw above, something about combining switches or LNB's into a diseqc, but I don't have a clue how that's done.

My mistake, here's what was said:
"tho some(if not all,not sure)had two outputs for vertical and horizontal.
all you need to do is combine both into a diseqc."

So how do you do that?

thats for the old primestar dishes with those 2 outputs.one is for V other is for H if you have one of those just put V in port 1 and H in port 2 and scan both ports.

Hey man checked the site out and un realas what you get if you have a rotor it is easy to try it Loaded about 600 channel,s maybe 250 will work there is some stuff you never saw before up on Dish try it you will like only bad thing it is all strickly ####no epg .

Arb. Man, are there other birds besides Galaxy 10 is that right?) that carry the FTA channels? I'm starting a new thread in Newbies about LNB's and KU etc.

go to Packages - North & South America - LyngSat
check out all the channels that are out there. If there is an F under the Enc. System category beside the channel name it's an FTA channel.

then you want the biggest dish and motor you can afford.
check out some 1 meter dishes.and a motor to handle it.
that will get you allot.and you will have nice quality readings.

I have an old perfect 10 with a motor i havent used in years, is this good for free to air?
