CNX update
c/p from a site administrator.
CNX was anticipating left and the providers went right......and basically backfired......CNX was working on a full write of the maprom when all of this happened.....as stated they were looking left and a quick change went right instead...therefore CNX had to hit back to the drawing board and basically, in an essence, start over...this is a common thng to happen and every manufacturer has done it......guesstimation isnt 100% and it is that, a guess or a hypothesis (an educated guess)......unfortunately CNX guessed wrong and is why they are late on this fix....
so whats happening now?..they are working on a temp fix just as the other manufacturers have done.....they are no longer trying to work on a fulll write because of whats happened plus should they keep trying on the full write it would definately take longer and they cant afford that at all.....they do realize this has bit them in the *** and its hurting them.....the do realize this...but we all have to realize as well this is the first time they've actually had this issue and the first time they really have been last....since their inception into the FTA world they have done nothing but provide excellent 3rd party support.....we cant ever forget that.....I am hoping we will see a bin within the next few days.....i will NOT sit here and tell you when it will be released because if it doesnt happen then CNX will look worse.....one thing i would like to convey to all of you is this...CNX has not forgotten about you...they have NOT packed it up....they have NOT sold out....They have NOT lost their coders.....what you hear by others is pure rumour and those manufacturers are hoping that CNX goes down and stays down.....And who wouldnt want that when you got the best **** receiver on the market with some of the best support out there....jelaousy breeds envy.....remember that....so to all of you wondering, scratching your heads, eyes crossed, in limbo, wondering wtf hpened or wtf is going on, rest assured, there WILL be a fix....and it will be very soon......so relax and chill out.....it will come and I myself will walk out on a limb and promise you all that a fix is very close....

Re: CNX update
Q1: who writes code based on hunches and guesses?
Q2: what did the providers change?
Q3: why abandon full maprom write if so much time and cash spent already?
You know where these answers lead...

that takes a highly skilled team who is very very good as they have more than proven to everyone by spitting out the temp patches first along with cw before viewsat/sonicview for the past 6 months+
and has some balls to risk it.

probably because at this point with all the rumors and big begging they simply do not have the time.people want their tv now and have shown they cannot wait for completion and must go back and get another temp fix out at this point.

i do,i see just what your implying to such a great team that they have more than proven themselfs to be time and time again.
they took a risk that could have led to HUGE results.
instead they get a tiny setback.and a few people who will dwell on their misfortune.

Re: CNX update
Thanks for the update. Knowing what is going on will help with the frustration. I have been down 1 month so a few more days will be fine. Keep up the good work
