So if you bought anything from any site above they have your ip , your info ,

I have looked over these db's a little and have noticed that alot of people still today use the same ip and email addys that these busted places have in there data bank. I would suggest that you delete those email addys and make new ones.

Another alleged satellite TV pirate busted north of the border has landed in jail.

EchoStar, along with security partner NagraStar and Bell ExpressVu, participated in a case last year that amounted to another victory against satellite piracy and the imprisonment of a reported offender. The satellite TV company said Steven Rodgers was sentenced to four months in prison after being found in contempt of an Anton Piller Order granted in Toronto by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

The sentence marked the fourth time an alleged satellite TV pirate has been jailed for contempt of an Anton Piller Order, the equivalent of a civil search and seizure warrant in the United States. EchoStar said the order was granted against Rodgers after a joint investigation conducted by the company and partners NagraStar and Bell ExpressVu.

EchoStar alleged that Rodgers operated companies and Web sites tied to satellite TV piracy.

Rodgers has continued to deny involvement in the businesses and Web sites. But a Canadian justice said those claims were "not credible at all" and "everything Mr. Rodgers has done since the Anton Piller Order was served has been designed to thwart it, disobey it and thumb his nose at the legal system."

Thanks Storman666 . Useful info . Even if they have the information however , ....I'm not sure how they would go about bringing charges on someone just for being a member of a certain web-site . Surely we have the right to belong to whatever web-site or organization we choose !! It's not as if it's an illegal web-site , ....or if even being a member is against the law . There are quite a few people involved with a lot more sinister organizations than free to air , .....for example the K.K.K , the Nazi partiy , etc,etc .....you dont see the authorities rounding all those people up . It's only because money is involved that the powers that be take any notice at all !! People have the freedom ( I think ! ) to do what they like .......except cost the establishment money !

I also read from that that the guy was not just a member of a site, but he had businesses that sold equipment and ran websites. That makes sense as they are not going to go after end users, it's too expensive. They go after the people distributing equipment and software. That takes out them and all their customers, a much bigger fish. I remember during the DTV days that people in the U.S were getting letters threatening legal action against individuals as end users. I don't believe they actually prosecuted any of them, just scared them out of the hobby and cost some money in lawyers fees and I even belive they asked them to send money to get out of the lawsuit, but I may be mistaken there. Just my thoughts anyways. If not maybe someday we'll all be roomies in jail. LOL!!!

Basically the targets are people who run a big open wise business so in my opinion no worry for individuals who have FTA at their house unless you run a backdoor!

I would recommend not letting everyone know your business, and never use plastic when buying anything fta related. This is just a forum, everything can be considered heresay and rumors.

why are we so worried about it even we aint selling or buying softwares here .. this is just a transfer of knowledge business .. if we know something just share with other people who they are interested to know .. thats it !!

You are correct were just sharing knowlegde and our thoughts on a subject/hobby. If you are really worried...If you have more then two dishes on your house and it can be seen from the street and plain eye, then pull a few down. Always laugh when i pass a house and they have 5-6 dishes and it covers there entire front of there property. I'll i'm saying is use your head and keep your mouth closed.

Its mostly public services and the attorney general offices. Is it public affairs also ? Its the Manulife Building just south of Dundas St.w if anyone wants to take the trip.
