Can I trade in my 7000 for a 6000? They are getting more support! Better yet, a viewsat?

Cool Re: Trade in your Coolsat 4/5/6000 to get Coolsat 6100

The upgrade offer seemed sincere, but not a really great deal.

What were the CS6K users supposed to do for the week or more between sending off their CS6k and receiving the new CS6100? Eh?

The CS6k worked just fabulous for me. The only drawback I ever had was waiting for the new bin files to become available.

Since the new bins for the CS6100 seem to come much faster, I opted to just buy a new 6100. The price was considerably less than I had paid for the 6k and the shipping was FREE.

As I speak (type) my new 6100 is working just great! Most of the problems I've had with it so far is just due to my own unfamiliarity with it.

I still have my CS6k to fall back on if this new box just blows up on me.
I'm not expecting that to happen though.

If I had $400 to invest, I might try a much higher end receiver, but for this poor boy, the CS6100 is doing me very nicely.....thank you.

Cheers mates!

I am surprised dealers still trying to sell Cs 4000-6000. I have cs 500 and am totally pissed off. Never again a cs.

Why would coolsat trade your old coolsat model for an entirely different brand. You can only do the trade in that was first described.

Re: Trade in your Coolsat 4/5/6000 to get Coolsat 6100

I traded mine in for a cs7100 unfortunately its not one of the recievers on the top of the list for support, seems to be having tonnes of issues with certain providers even when most of the others work fine. =( Its great to recycle and be 'green' but i should have bought a sv360 elite or some other with pvr features since the cost was about the same after shipping and everything said and done. I might as well just hook up my old reliable vs xtreme again instead of dealing with the bs.
