CoolSat upgrade program

This warrant is only good for upgrades for all others the standard warranty applies.

We do apologize for any inconvenience having to upgrade has caused and hope that you choose to buy CoolSat for your future purchases.

This warranty is only good for boxes with the original factory software on it as we do not support any 3rd party software and not for clones of our equipment.

The reason for this move is because the manufacture (hubtech) has decided they will no longer support our 4/5/6 line of boxes. They may choose to release some files once they see this post but in the end they will just screw the users over again. All other STB’s are made by others that will have the support; we need for the future.
We feel very bad that we are stuck with no choice but to offer an upgrade but it is the best we can do at the time.[/quote]

I can tell you if you have a clone then please do not tell them when you fill out the paper work because they are just going to crush whatever comes in without bothering to look at it, But I am not suppose to tell you that part lol..

Also no dealers will be able to offer you this it only works thru the importer.

Great news, thank you! Do you think this would be a better way to go instead of trying to convert to the Skyview that was posted? I think so....but wanted your respected opinion. Thanks for all you do for all of us!!

I would trade it in to get Coolsat 6100. You will love this model..

WHAT A BUNCH OF BS !! COOLSAT USA FINALLY REALIZED WHAT HAPPENS TO THEIR BOTTOM LINE WHEN THEY ALLIENATE A LARGE PORTION OF THEIR CUSTOMER BASE.

They (COOLSATUSA) are trying to blame the manufacturer for the total lack of support for the CS 4000, 5000 and 6000 series of STB's. Whether they say it directly or through innuendo - IT'S A LIE - AS IN NOT TRUE !! The manufacturer may be responsible for cutting the warranty period short on these boxes due to the cloning issue THE REALITY IS HOW MANY OF YOU THAT OWN THESE BOXES ARE UPSET BECAUSE YOUR WARRANTY WAS CUT SHORT?? PROBABLY VERY FEW - AND EVEN IF YOU HAD ONE OF THE RARE BOXES THAT ACTUALLY WAS DEFECTIVE WHAT GOOD WOULD THE WARRANTY BE TO YOU IF THE BOX HAS NO SUPPORT OR WHAT SUPPORT THEY DID HAVE WAS DAYS AND WEEKS BEHIND EVERYONE ELSES FIXES??

ALSO WHY ARE THEY JUST OFFERING THE CS6100 FOR THIS SO CALLED DEAL - WHY NOT OFFER ALL THEIR MODELS AT SIMILAR DISCOUNTS - COULD IT BE THAT THEY (COOLSATUSA) HAVE COOLSAT 6100'S STACKED TO THE CEILING IN THEIR WAREHOUSE(s) PERHAPS THEY HAVE NOW FINALLY REALIZED WHAT HAPPENS TO SALES WHEN YOU BASICALLY TELL A LARGE PART OF YOUR CUSTOMER BASE THAT THE STB'S THAT THEY PURCHASED FROM THEM FOR $150 TO WELL OVER $200 CAN NOW BE CONSIDERED VERY EXPENSIVE DIGITAL CLOCKS - BECAUSE THATS ABOUT ALL THEY ARE GOOD FOR NOW!

THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT CREATE AND RELEASE THE SO CALLED 3RD PARTY BIN FILES THAT KEEP THESE STB'S UP AND RUNNING - AND NO DOUBT THEIR IS NO PROVABLE CONNECTION BETWEEN COOLSATUSA AND THE CODERS WHO PROVIDE THESE UPDATED FILES - ARMS LENGHTH DISTANCE IN LEGALIZE - BUT MOST OF US ARE AWARE THAT THESE CODERS WHO ARE TALENTED PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMERS ARE NOT DOING THIS WORK FOR THEIR HEALTH!!

COOLSATUSA IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LACK OF SUPPORT FOR THE CS 4,5, AND 6K BOXES !!!! THEY MADE A CALL AND IT BACKFIRED ON THEM BIG TIME AND IF ANY OF YOU ARE FOOLISH ENOUGH TO TRUST THIS COMPANY BY PURCHASING ANOTHER OF THEIR PRODUCTS - WHAT CAN I SAY? HOW ABOUT I HAVE A LARGE BRIDGE FOR SALE REALLY CHEAP CALL ME!

FURTHERMORE THEIR OFFER DOESN'T EVEN MAKE FINANCIAL SENSE - IF YOU SEND THEM YOUR CS 4, 5, OR 6K BOX WHICH SOME PURCHAED FROM AUTHORIZED COOLSAT DEALERS FOR WELL OVER A HUNDRED BUCKS AND AS LATE AS NOVEMBER 2007 (THE MONTH THE CS6000 WAS DISCONTINUED) IT WILL COST YOU $10 to $15 IN FREIGHT TO SHIP IT AND AN ADDITIONAL $79.00 FOR THE CS6100

THEREFORE YOUR TOTAL INVESTMENT WILL BE AROUND $90 to $95 TO OWN ANOTHER COOLSAT BOX A COMPANY WHOSE ETHICS IN THE AREA OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT I WOULD LOOK VERY HARD AT BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM ANOTHER DOLLAR OF YOUR MONEY!!

I RECENTLY PURCHASED 4 CAPTIVEWORKS 700S STB'S for $109 ea and they are excellent boxes in my opinion and the reason I settled for the CW's is they provide alot of bang for the buck and the captiveworks team has a long record of timely support for ALL THEIR MODELS!! I'M NOT PUSHING ANY BRAND BECAUSE THEIR ARE QUITE A FEW SUCH AS VIEWSAT THAT ALSO HAVE EXCELLENT BOXES AND HAVE DEMONSTRATED OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME THAT THEY ALSO BACK THEIR UNITS WITH TIMELY SUPPORT - THE COOLSAT RECORD IS DISMAL TO SAY THE LEAST - YES THEY HAVE RECENTLY MANAGED TO BE UP THEIR WITH THE PACK WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR NEWER MODELS BUT IF YOU LOOK AT THEIR RECORD EVEN FOR THESE LATE MODELS OVER MANY MONTHS THERE WERE MANY TIMES WHEN THEY WERE WAY BEHIND ALL THE OTHER CODING TEAMS - JUST GO TO THE DOWNLOAD SECTIONS OR HELP SECTIONS OF THE VARIOUS MODELS AND SEE WHAT DATE THEIR COMPETITORS RELEASED FIXES FOR THE ECMS AND COMPARE THEM TO COOLSAT -

PEGGY13 - WHY GO TO THE HASSLE OF BOXING UP AND SENDING YOUR OLD CS FOR THIS OFFER - WHEN FOR AN ADDITIONAL $20 - $30 YOU CAN PURCHASE A NEW STB DISTRIBUTED BY A COMPANY (BRAND NAME) THAT HAS SHOWN THAT THEY SUPPORT THEIR CUSTOMERS - OR IF YOU HAVE A FEW EXTRA BUCKS AROUND YOU SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY CONSIDER A BOX THAT HAS IKS SUPPORT - i STILL VERY HAPPY WITH MY NEOSAT iPRO 2000 AND iPRO2000 Plus - even with the freezes and other issues of late (the coders are working on a new type of so called hybrid iks system and I'm sure when it is released it will take care of all the minor issues - meanwhile I'm still watching TV when owners of other boxes are waiting for the cardless fixes!!

ALL I CAN SAY IS COOLSAT WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER $ OF MINE - AND AS I STATED IN ANOTHER POST I WON'T EVEN USE THE #$%^$ CS BOX AS A DOOR STOP! BE A TOTAL INSULT TO MY POOR INNOCENT DOOR!

n***a,sorry grass but this time i have to say this "is BS from NW" why i should spend that money plus shiping when i can get another unit for 90 bucks or less like CW,never again i will get another CS,sorry if someone here doesnt like my opiniom but

If you want the bottom of the line support, then by all means go for this deal, but the smart money buys a new stb from a company that supports thier product. As for me I purchased a cw800 a month ago (smartiest move I made in a while).

If you know whats good for you, STAY AWAY FROM COOLSAT. Most of the sponser ad's on these sites are still selling CS6000's. Coolsat has been slow, poor support, and insults their customer base with a lame offer. They will never see a cent of my money.

god i'm glad you guy's gave a head's up on this company,but again that's what these sites all try to do inform the consumer.I know I will not buy from an unreputable company such as this.thank goodness there are companies such as viewsat and neosat that are standing behind there equipment.
