yes....but you know what the problem is?.....too many people are into so called "FTA" only to steal and get free TV.....it is not a hobby to them like it should be.....its just free TV.....

all they want is reliable TV for free.....because they most likely dont have a backup sub.....


so if a BIN File is released that doesnt work 100% correctly and flawlessly, then you get all these people (who i mentioned above) whining and complaining and flooding the forums with thier biatching.....just look at what has happened with the IHub.....read the SV forums....its flooded with complaining.....


wake up people.....you purchased an FTA RECEIVER.....that doesnt mean you have access to encrypted satellite signals for life.....it means you have access to FTA SATELLITE SIGNALS for life.....there is a big difference.....and most of the people who i mentioned above probably dont even know what the difference is.....


you purchased an FTA receiver and you are only entitled to FTA programming....nobody owes you anything else.....not hackers, not coders, not your receivers manufacturer, not this website.....you are owed nothing, nil, zip, nadda.....


people have been spoiled rotten in the past few years with all these BIN files and PPV.....so now they are desperate for it back.....its like if you give a kid a toy and then take it away, the kid is going to cry, wether he really needs the toy or not.....

"testing" (and i use that term loosely) is hands on experimentation.....its getting out there and fooling around with your dishes, aiming, learning, experimenting etc etc....."testing" is not sitting on the couch and loading a BIN file into a receiver.....a monkey could be trained to do that.....

i am all for testing, but if you have had a dish or dishes pointed at 82,91,110, and/or 119 exclusively for the past year or two and have been doing nothing else except loading BIN files into your receiver, then im sorry to say but you are not "testing".....you are just plain and straight out stealing.....

N3 cracked. So who will be the first ? Who cares who's first or last. The information should be shared to get this up and going

who cares?......i will tell you who cares.....the manufacturers sure do care because this is a business and thier receivers will be flying off the shelves if they are first.....why would competitors want to help each other out??

I think we're wasting our time on the future of FTA.

nobody is wasting their time with TRUE FTA.....stealing encrypted satellite signals is NOT FTA.....so lets not get that confused.....

Nice work OZ, but picking and posting sections isn't good practise. Out of contex is a typical american thing to do. I've been doing this for a long time and know for a fact that no where does it say in Canadian law that you can't access for free, satalite signals. Except where canadian companies are being affected. So for the majority of people if there not using there FTA unit to watch BEV then there actually watching free telivision. I agree that there are winers that only have a dish and a cheep box and want to complain about bins. Your also right that if they can't even get basic cable, at what $ 40.00 dollars a month then they should get a life. It is a hobby and people should realize it is a hobby. As for boxes flying off the shelf because SV or VS or Pansat has the first bin out...It takes about a week at the most for it to be converted and used in all FTA's. I think you missed my point. It was I prefer Pansat, you might have 2 VS and my neighbor has 1 SV. There all no f'ing good to us the way they are right now. If this next BIN is the begining of N3 bins then lets get it out so Manufacturers can use it as a guide...Because trust me the ECM's will keep coming. Oh and where is BL through all this ? Haven't seen or hide nor hair from that user in months.

Oh and to try not to burst all your bubbles, But your FTA unit was probably made in South Koria or an Asian country...Where at this monet in north america EST time is 7:42pm...It so happens to be about 12 hours ahead of us. So by my calculations if there's going to be a release of a new N3 bin it'll happen in the next 8 hours. When you all close your eyes tonight and dream of watching all the NFL games this weekend and you wake up and there's nothing new. Please don't wine and post all over the place. Get cable and watch TV.

It says "Reported Release imminent" That's pretty vage. First off Reported sounds like it's not Viewsat but someone else who has a fix. Also they say Release not N3 release. Leaving open the possibility that they are talking about Telafonica.

I'm guessing this will turnout to be nothing. On the other hand if Viewsat releases a N3 fix this week it will be the shot heard round the world. Viewsat will go from DOA to King of the world overnight.

Been watching the N3 issue since last december through the card swap up till now, and it looks like it's not going to happen.

My Guess is they will be going after IKS with a vengence in the future. Not the end user but the box makers and the master subs.
