I have never hooked up to satellite before

I have viewsat ultra v2000 and can not get my remote to do anything. (it has new batteries)

This is what is on the screen
it say it is on channel 2242 cbc north tv
the bottm right box says 12632 2000 v 5/6
then 2 meters s69 and q 00
there is a $ selected in the right top row of buttons

How do I get to instal or satellite set up?

using black switch on back of the box,,turn it off,,wait a 5 secs and turn it back on ,, also, have you installed any file into the box ? the box needs the latest fix loaded prior to doing the antenna setting and channel scanning,, also is the dish correctly aimed ? and at which sats are they pointed at ?
