Re: What is telefonica
I think the question everyone is aking is - Can you pickup Telefonica in N.America with VS and existing dish and LNB? By existing I mean the stuff we have been using so far.

Re: What is telefonica
Maybe I answered my own question on Lingsat. Near as I can tell its at 61.0deg, its available in N.America on C-band and KU-band but you probably need a 30" dish if you live on the edges. How am I doing so far?

Re: What is telefonica
if it's on c and ku that means you will need a linear lnbf so no it's not the stuff we have been using and why don't you spell out a little bit more is it all in spanish, in other words a waist of time for most of us? and if it's on ku isn't it free anyway why do we need a file for it? if it is encrypted why isn't there more encrypted ku stuff going on? what's the name of the sat - 61.0 doesn't help me home in on it at all. 61.0 deg what west? east north south?

Re: What is telefonica
Dink,
I think I was asking the same questions you are. Can someone in North America recieve Telefonica with existing small dish equip. and if not, what equipment is required? Since my 2 confusing posts I think the answer is 'no'. There are bins for Telefonica available which is what started the inquiry.
Yes Telefonica is all in Spanish and Porteguese(?), very scary its like they have a different word for everything. 61Deg is 61 Deg, from where I am that's to the east. And its waste not waist.
