would this work?
Someone mentioned to me that his building does not allow any dishes. However he said that you could set up a dish indoors, and still get signals.
Is this true, possible, or ... was he just talking off the top of his head??

Re: would this work?
It might depend on the type of glass and the thickness.

Re: would this work?
Yes, It works. I had my anntena indoor for about a year. I prepared a piece of plywood attached to the inside window sill and installed my dish on it. The signal came through the glass perfectly. It did not look too nice though. Finaly, I installed the dish on the outside window sill. The board of the complex complained, but I kept my dish outside. In conclusion, the dish can be installed inside, as long there is not other obstruction than the window glass. I got a signal of 90% to 94%.

Re: would this work?
Might be a bit cold in the Winter if you had to open the window to watch TV though ... assuming you have 'Winter' of course

In any case, the CRTC rules here, not the FCC. Also NO, repeat NO sats. permitted on outside, or yard of property (apt. building).

Well, in spite of the tons of rain, I "assume" we had "Sum -er" (dans le Pays de la niege / in this land of [ice and] snow )

Yeah, but you're in ON, where it gets nowhere as C-O-L-D as in PQ, capisce?
I guess going by what you guys have said, there is at least a 'chance' of success.... much as in love and in war, n'est pas?
