how come i can't sort my channels 1-2-3-4 etc (ie: sort by SID) like when i had older bins?
AND...
is it only me that's not getting all the NHL center ice channels (i'm getting NHL-N...NHL0...NHL1...NHL2...and NHLVu)

The bins default to Echo Package but if the ok button is hit 4 times it will sort to channel # you assign. The NHL if it like the others you need to scan the TP just before or just after the game starts.

Scan BEV around 6:30 EST for the NHL. It should bring in all of the active NHL channels. They go up to 10 but you only need the first 6. Usually Rogers Sportsnet 1-4 will carry them and TSN has the others. Once you scan them they remain in place for the duration. Scan them on a night when most of the NHL is playing for best results.

No screen just watching tv. It takes it out of Echo Package.

You can also go into your menu and turn off sort by Sid and then go into channel edit and sort them by A to Z or by TP's.
