My ultra is dead

upon loading the new bin into my box, the power went out
here for a few seconds, my viewsat ultra is now
doa.
what can I do to get it up & working.
power went out about the time box said "do not power off"

Does your unit have any signs of life at all?

When was if mfg'd.

If you power it, does it display "----"?

its unfortunate your power went out but mine failed here on loading.
I just loaded the new bin via memory stick . it froze up on me .
then i got the ---- on my receiver. dont worry it can be fixed.
loaded with the cable this time.
what you do is load the V131 FACTORY BIN for the ultra.
then reload the newest bin. and it will be back working
follow this and you will be back up in a few minutes.

Unit has power still shows the 4 bars in the display, cannot
get any functions working.
Sorry cannot find any mfg date, recent purchase from reputable dealer

As long as it has the "----" on the box, thankfully it can be fixed. This has been happening to allot of ultras lately and its happened to me atleast 3 times. One thing i noticed is that you can usually tell when it will do that because when you put in your USB Stick, the message "Initializing USB Port" usually stays on, or atleast this has happened to me the past 2 times. Your reciever can be fixed by following this guide by using your NULL cable that came with your receiver, a viewsat factory file and loader 2.
