Viewsat Ultra problem

I have problem with my New Viewsat Ultra. It does not retain signal strength for more than 3 minutes. I've to switch off the receiver by remote and it works for 3 minutes again when switched on.
Coolsat 6000 on same dish and LNB works fine.

I purchased VS Ultra to get faster bins but I am back to the square one!!

Any suggestions ???

Thanks in advance.

Re: Viewsat Ultra problem

factory default, load factory file v0132 and then latest 08/02/08.set your antenna and rescan and see if that works.

this sounds weird . you sure you have everything plugged in at the back properly settings are correct and you tried factory bin then latest...well unless someone has any other idea you may have faulty receiver.
may i suggest you get away from it for a bit then try and check everything again you may have missed something...new receiver easy to make mistake.

Re: Viewsat Ultra problem

I had an ultra do that once. Factory default, reload files, and rescan. fixed my problem.

Re: Viewsat Ultra problem

Perhaps your diseqc went bad. Make sure that you always shut off power of receiver at the back of it when plugging and unplugging diseqc switches.
