wow guys you can format your hard drive fat 32 then you can load it up with your computer what i have been doing is ripping movie from dvd's to .ts format using total video converter . lthen putting on my hard drive to watch .. i also have 861 mp3s in folder for what i like and jpegs to looat the you have the svhd-video for your recording and boom you have all that you want on you 360 elite music pics movies and recordings and capture file ..

here are a few pics of what i have done with the folders and what the ripped .ts looks like from dvd

i also added my computer on my 52 lcd ..

nice.and have you tried some divx conversions yet too?

about how long does it take to convert a movie over to .ts format so the sv can play her? like say a 2 hr movie.i suppose that depends on the speed of your pc.

ok wel i have been doing it from a dvd so it takes longer about 1hr and 20 min but when i do a avi to .ts it take about 45 min but i am using a quad core computer ..i have not tried divx yet i did'nt know if it would work on the reciever but i will put on 5 different formats and see what works ..

i also just came back from the store and got a zinwell wb6x8 multi switch so i can run all the dual tuners i have and the bedroom recievers too..

i will be doing all that tomorrow tonight i am going to help a friend put up his dish and set up a elite there..

yeah she's supposed to handle anything you can get into .ts format.

what i am curious about is this trick mode ????????.. and toe if ya see this i am going to test the dual tuner out tomorrow and see if i have the same issues as you ..

i can convert them all to .ts and the work i did a di to .ts and avo .ts all working .

yeah thats what i meant sorry.
she wont actually play anything other than .ts (for video)
i just meant whatever you can download or rip and convert into transport steam(.ts) she is supposed to run her.
the sv 8000hd can do this now too.

thats some slick stuff.done first from sonicview coders.pretty handy.

Cool. I am really considering getting an SV 360 Elite. I am still researching. I like the Viewsat also though. Haven't made up my mind yet, but I am definately leaning toward the SV360. It doesn't look like Veiwsats have a display on the unit like most others.

viewsat is coming out with a viewsat pro dual tuner

but this sv 360E is going over well.very well liked dual tuner.
