I have sonicview 360 elite pvr downloaded 110 perfectly went to scan 119 set the transponder to 12239 during the scan some channels came out with the 12239 and some others came out with the transponder the one the other transponders decent signal 75 or so with 0 quality the one the 12239 had a 75 signal with 95-100 quality. Why do they change and can I change them on the channels to 12239 especially the NFL Network any help would be greatly appreciated! Had this new box less than 24 hours and been trying to scan for hours and hours. Tired and disappointed Hankers.

Sounds like you need to tweek your dish. What is quality and signal and what are your settings?

Not all satellite transponders are "visible" from any point on the planet. This is especially true with 119, where the designers have deliberately aimed their feedhorns to cover as much of North America as possible. At any point there may be 3-4 frequencies (TP's) that have zero quality. As long as you are getting good quality numbers on the others, you should be fine. The others are for something else (data, the other coast, etc).

So long as you have the other settings correct, the Transponder frequency setting is only used as a starting point reference to get your dish aimed by allowing you to see signal quality numbers on the right-hand side. When you finally do the Scan Sat (Yellow key) function, the box will step through all of the frequencies for that sat anyways, and collect all the channels it finds, ignoring the rest.

Bottom line is, if you do a combined 119/110 scan and get 500-600 channels, everything has worked.

It is normal to see some 0's as scanning is being done cause some TP's have no programming, therefore, no signal. Dude is right, however it is only good to have 600 channels if you can see them. I repeat my recommendation, tweek your dish, check your settings, make sure the sat you want is showing on the upper right after settings are put in. I also suggest you scan 1 sat at a time the first time. Do a combined scan from then on.

IMy SV360 Elite all was was working fine, all of a sudden seems having same problem loosing Quality. Some times quality comes back @mid 30 to 40 range. same lnb is hooked up to another receiver have no problems good quality on all birds.
