First,its important to understand the connection method used to hook an electronic device to your tv is very important.some methods are not as good as others.here is the list from worst to best.1 being the worst,4 being the best.the higher you go=the higher quality picture possible,but of course your receiver and tv must support these methods.(consult your tv owners manual or simply look at the rear hookups if you know how to identify them).


1.RF output.(coaxial).many people use this connection because they do not understand that its actually the worst possible method,but because its easy,and carries both video and audio.though very easy,most likely your tv supports something better.
its also very important to note that the sonicview 360 Elite does NOT have an RF coaxial output.so this lowest quality hookup is not an option for you.(its actually pretty smart of them to not even have this,as it makes you learn of higher grade quality picture methods.)

2.next we have composite.most of us know this connection simply by RCA cables.a red and white for audio.(red=right.white=left)for stereo sound,and a yellow for video.this provides a higher quality picture than coaxial,and should be the minimum hookup used today.this is also very easy.color coded to match the rear of the sv and your tv.

3.better still is S-video.this provides,in most cases a much noticeable picture quality with very vivid colors and exceptionally clear/sharp picture.
although its important to note,the S-video connection only carries video.you must use the red/white rca connections, or better,the optical output to your surround sound decoder device or supporting tv set.

4.the best of the best,for top of the line,highest method to achieve the utmost in picture quality from your sonicview 360 Elite is component cables.these look just like rca cables but they are red,green and blue.
you will also need rca's red/white or optical cable for audio.
if your tv supports this method,be very smart and pick up a nice grade set,you will be happy you did.
