How to Multiscan 360 Elite
Hi, I just got the 360 elite...Im a total SatNoob....Im in the process of setting it up, I was using the setup guide on your forum....(up top)
I was wondering if there is a good way to scan multiple sat(s) for channels at once...I seem to be scanning them one by one...its really annoying...
Does anyone have a quick/surefire setup for a buttload of channels at once..

haha you said "buttload".
i believe you can only scan one bird at a time. how many birds are you pointing at?
load the latest BIN, let it reboot, re-scan (delete your existing so you don't get duplicates) and you should be fine.

I did load the latest bin file, shortly after I checked reception and signal strenghth was high on alot of birds, I managed to catch one echostar, and any others I have to load individually and save channels...
The Sonicview has this sat picker menu, you check off the ones you want....but later when it scans for channels it only lets me scan the one in the menu highlighted....Im gonna keep playing with it....

The "sat picker menu" is a favorites list of sats you use. It's not for multi scanning or anything else. If you are on the dish settings screen, and you push the FAV button, you will see your list of favorite sats and you can scroll through those few instead of scrolling through every sat listed on the STB.

Re: How to Multiscan 360 Elite
I have an Elite set up for 119/110/91 on both tuners. Once I had everything set up with the correct LNB Type and diseqc port settings, all I had to do was hit the yellow key (Scan All) and it cycled through all three of the birds.
If you have a motor drive, then of course you only get one bird at each aim point, but for a stationary installation with some kind of switching (like DPP) I don't see why the scanner would not try all of the possible switch combinations.
I have also seen others on here advocate doing a Blind Scan first, followed by a Scan All. It apparently causes duplicate channels sometimes, but hey, there's always "Factory Reset".....
Happy viewing.

I also have a stationary set up (dual LNB's courtesy of Dish Network)..When I set up I have to manually configure the settings for optimal signal strength...I tryed a blind scan and all it did was scan the only one highlighted (amc5..i believe)
Thanks for the tip System Dude. ..im gonna try and config. then hit the yellow button...., my noob *** is still trying to get free porn.

Ok, I found out what was wrong......I was scanning each bird one by one....when I should have checked off the birds on the list and hit the yellow button on the remote (scan all)
the yellow button was to the right of the two buttons I was hittin....
I also was trying to get reception from birds I did not have a fix on DirctTV....
I need to buy more equipment...a 3lnb DTV dish
